Kyle and Rosie were the lucky recipients of a new kid's bike seat for Christmas, so between rain showers they've been heading out for short adventures.
To put it mildly, Rosie loves, loves, loves to ride on the bike.
She will suddenly announce (at all hours of the day and in all weather) "pike!" or "sooot!" or "hat!" Code for, bike, suit, helmet. Once in full cycling gear, she's a sight to behold.
But she doesn't mind, she's warm and there's fun to be had.
If Kyle goes too fast she'll shout "eyes, eyes!" Apparently the wind in her eyes is not to her liking. She's also not a fan of the sun in her eyes, which contradicts her desire to be on the bike.
This was the first time I'd actually gotten to see Rosie suited up and in her seat. Little girl was really thrilled. This was also the longest ride they've taken -- just over ten miles.
No sooner did they get home and have a snack, when Rosie demanded "pike, pike!" Kid can't get enough.
Here's to putting rubber to the road.
